About Us

Riverside is Bristol's largest independent garden centre. Established in 1987, our overriding aim is to create a unique destination offering a wide range of high quality plants and products. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are always on hand to provide help and give advice when required.

Originally founded on co-operative principles, Riverside is run as a social enterprise, engaging with the wider community in Bristol by supporting and initiating projects and working with a number of local charities.

Our Vegetarian Cafe, which offers a range of organic, homemade food and drinks, has a bright and airy interior, outside sun terrace and children's play area. We are proud of its continued five star rating for hygiene and customer service.

Riverside enjoys a wonderful setting with panoramic views of the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, the city docks and the Bristol skyline beyond. Our distinctive architecture - in particular our 'Shade House' - has won awards. The garden centre is easily accessed from the local road system and has ample parking for cars and bicycles.
