The 'Chinese Red Barked Birch' would make an excellent specimen tree where it's beautiful bark can be seen. The caramel-orange-gold bark has a wonderful deep satiny sheen, and readily peels in paper thin sheets. The neatly upright tree weeps very slightly, and also bears lots of long catkins in spring. Superb.
