Most unusual and very excellent. The clusters of semi double flowers are rich purple at first, maturing to a pleasing slate-blue with a sweet, penetrating fragrance with hints of violets. The neat bushy habit and the sparsely thorned stems make it a lovely addition to any mixed border.
