Surplus apples? Bring them to Riverside
If you have a glut of apples – any variety – in your garden, orchard or allotment and would like them converted into delicious apple juice or cider, simply call in to Riverside for a sack, fill it with apples, pop in a card with your details and collect your juice (this autumn) or cider (next spring).
The scheme is operated by The Cotswold Fruit Company Ltd in conjunction with the Garden Centre.
You will need at least 10kgs of apples, which converts to 1 litre of juice or cider, so maybe get together with neighbours to make sure that your sack comes up to weight.
The first two collection dates are Friday 30th August and Friday 6th September. There may be more collections from here, depending on how popular the scheme proves to be.
