Tillandsia, comonly known as 'Air Plants' come from the warm countries of Central and South America. They are epiphytes, using their roots to cling to trees in the wild and take their water from the humid air and produce vibrant flowers in all collours. In the home they can be grown virtually anywhere, being glued onto bark, shells or any other surface where they will recieve good, indirect light. They will also need warm temperatures to thrive and plenty of misting with water to mimic their natural habitat.
