Another striking Bromeliad with rosettes of smooth-edged, glossy green foliage and showy red flower bracts that last for a long time- potentially a couple of months. The flower spikes usually come in bright scarlet, but are also available in other colours too. During flowering the central leaves may also colour adding to the spectacle. An easy to grow plant for a warm room in bright, filtered light.
