Thank you for your interest in working at Riverside Garden Centre. When we need to recruit staff – including those in our Shop and Café - we generally advertise them on our website, social media and via posters in our shop. We generally advertise for seasonal positions in late December/January. Please note that because we are open seven days a week, most of our staff work on a rota basis which involves alternative weekends.

Shop Assistant

Your Role

• Friendly customer service
• Advising on house plants, garden accessories and gifts
• Serving customers at checkout – from tiny succulents to bags of compost
• Keeping the shop tidy, stocked and looking great

You

• Positive, reliable and a team player with a can-do attitude
• Knowledge in gardening and house plants
• Passionate about community and sustainability

Hourly Wage, £13.45 ~ aligned with the Living Wage Foundation

Permanent Position

Fortnightly rota – 4 days a week equivalent (to include weekend work)

2 x paid 30 minute breaks, no evening work
