The Western Harbour Redevelopment October 2024
You may have become aware, through recent media coverage, that The Western Harbour redevelopment has launched another public consultation.
The Harbour Hopes team have put together some information boards to explain the stage that the redevelopment has reached. The boards aim to highlight the many attributes within the area that it would be good to retain (such as the iconic views, green spaces etc.), the problems to overcome (flooding, aging roads and bridges, etc.), what must be accommodated (existing infrastructure, listed buildings, etc.) and suggest new ways of using the area.
By getting this information out to the public they hope to re-engage the people of Bristol with the process. They will be seeking comments from and looking to have conversations with anyone and everyone who is interested, in order to be informed as to how best the area could be developed, meet people’s needs and expectations.
Riverside is one of the venues hosting these boards. They will be displayed from Monday 21st October until Saturday 9th November. Representatives from the Council will be present at Riverside for drop-in sessions: 11am - 3pm, Saturday 26th October and 12pm – 3pm, Thursday 31st October.
Please note that this is not a Riverside initiative – we are involved purely as a venue to host the engagement boards.
If you would like to share your thoughts on The Western Harbour redevelopment, please do so via 'Have your say' or attend one of the drop in sessions.
