The 'Golden Scale Fern'. A British native fern that has golden scales on it's stem, giving it a lighter appearance than other ferns. It grows into an elegantly arching shuttlecock shape. It's incredibly tough and adaptable, even tolerating quite dry shade or a sunnier spot. Whilst it is a deciduous fern, it will retain its foliage during a mild winter.
