Vegetables

Growing vegetables, either in a patch in the garden or on an allotment, is one of the fastest-growing leisure activities. Quite simply, nothing beats the favour of freshly-picked veg! The choice of seeds is dazzling, so when looking at the myriad of packets on display or the lists in seed catalogues, go for varieties that you really like. If you are a beginner, stick to the tried and trusted and avoid exotic species. The space you have available will also determine what you grow as some plants, such as potatoes, take up a lot of room, while others, like cabbages, have a long growing period. To help with this, many seed companies now sell dwarf varieties and 'patio' vegetables, which are suitable for smaller gardens.

We always have a great selection of vegetable seeds from leading suppliers. From spring to autumn we stock a wide range of vegetable plants at the perfect stage of development to take home and plant out – an instant veg plot!
