After almost 40 years of trading, we are relieved to see that the draft masterplan for the Western Harbour, released this week (10th February 2025), shows Riverside Garden Centre remaining on its current site.
This knowledge has come at the end of over 5 years of uncertainty regarding our future and it is a great relief to us all that we can now look forward, with confidence, to our future here.
Clearly major change is coming to this area of Bristol, and we are now looking forward to being an active part of the new community, at the heart of the Western Harbour development.
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our customers, friends, families and supporters who took the time to make their positive opinions clear during the consultation periods, when our future was less than certain.
We now look forward to working closely with Bristol City Council as we jointly develop plans that will allow Riverside to evolve and thrive long into the future, while retaining our essential values.
It will take many years for this vision of the Western Harbour to come to fruition, so in the meantime, it’s very much business as usual here at Riverside.
